Dropbox Import

To set up the Dropbox import using the Nanonets UI (User Interface), here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Log in to Nanonets:

    1. Go to Nanonets and log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to “Import” Section of the “Workflow” segment on the left panel:

    1. Once logged in, you'll find an option labelled “Import” in the Nanonets dashboard on the left panel, under “Workflow”. Click on it.
  3. Select “Import from Dropbox”:

    1. Click on “Import from Dropbox” and select “Connect your Dropbox Account”.

  4. Sign in to Dropbox Account and authorise Nanonets the access to your Dropbox account:

    1. You will be prompted to sign in to your Dropbox Account using SSO and authorise Nanonets to access your Dropbox account. Click on Authorise or Connect Dropbox.
  5. Grant Permissions:

    1. Review the permissions requested by Nanonets. These typically include accessing metadata and content from your Dropbox. Click Allow to grant permissions.
    2. Once you do this, you will be able to see a small green tick-mark next to the “Import from Dropbox” option even if you collapse this step.
  6. Select Dropbox Folder:

    1. After authorisation, you will be able to select the Dropbox folder from which you want to import images. Navigate through your Dropbox folders and select the folder containing the images.
    2. Note: New files are imported every 5 minutes by default. You cannot change this setting. Only the files that are added after the integration is added will be imported.

  7. Save and Test Configuration:

    1. Once you have successfully connected to the desired folder, you will be able to access the files added to that folder under the “Test Import” section. Click on done once the set up is complete.
  8. Monitor Import Status:

    1. Once configured, monitor the import status within Nanonets to verify that images are being fetched from Dropbox according to your settings.

Nuances/Caveats:

  1. Files are imported every 5 minutes.
  2. Only those files that are uploaded after the integration has been setup will be imported.
  3. We will not search subfolders automatically for documents. Please click through folders till you reach the folder where the documents you need to import will be added.

By following these steps within the Nanonets UI, you should be able to set up Dropbox import effectively, allowing you to utilise the workflow capabilities offered by us and automate the import of your files into the Nanonets system.
