Overview

Nanonets allows you to automate the process of importing files for data extraction by using Google Drive. As soon as a file is added to a designated Google Drive folder, it gets imported into your Nanonets model. This setup enables a streamlined and automated workflow for managing your files import. All the files uploaded after the integration is setup will be imported.

Steps to Set Up Google Drive Import

  • Access Workflow:
    • Navigate to the 'Workflow' section from the left panel on your Nanonets Extract Data page.
  • Browse Import Options:
    • Click on “Browse import options” to view all supported import sources.
    • Select "Import from Google Drive" from the available options.
  • Connect Your Google Drive Account:
    • Select “Connect your Google Drive Account” and authorize Nanonets to access your Google Drive.
  • Sign In and Authorize:
    • You will be prompted to sign in to your Google Account using Single Sign-On (SSO).
    • Authorize Nanonets by clicking on "Authorize" or "Connect Google Drive."
  • Grant Permissions:
    • Review the permissions requested by Nanonets, which typically include accessing metadata and content from your Google Drive.
    • Click "Allow" to grant permissions.
  • Select Google Drive Account:
    • After granting permission, you will be redirected back to the Nanonets import block.
    • Once you do this, you will be able to see a small green tick-mark next to the “Import from Google Drive”
    • Choose the Google Drive account from the dropdown menu.
  • Select Google Drive Folder:
    • Navigate through your Google Drive folders and select the folder from which you want to import files.
  • Save and Test Configuration:
    • After connecting to the desired folder, test accessing the files under the “Test Import” section.
    • Click "Done" once the setup is complete.
  • Finalize Integration:
    • Click the "Done" button to save the integration and start importing files automatically.

  • How long does it take for a file to get imported?
    • New files are imported every 5 minutes. This setting cannot be changed, and only files added after setting up the integration will be imported.
  • Will my existing files get imported?
    • Only files uploaded after the integration setup will be imported.
  • Can we use sub-folders for import?
    • The integration will search for new files up to a folder depth of 3 within the parent folder.
  • Will shared folders work with this Google Drive import integration?
    • Shared folders are not supported in this integration.
