Password Reset

Forgetting passwords is a common occurrence in the digital age. It's frustrating, though, when you're eagerly waiting for that password reset email, only to find it missing from your inbox. Before you hit panic mode, there are several reasons why you might not have received that crucial email and steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Reason 1: The Email Is in Your Spam Folder Email filters can be overzealous at times, mistaking important messages for spam. Before assuming the worst, it's worth checking your spam or junk folder. Sometimes, legitimate emails, including password reset links, end up there.

Next Steps:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder thoroughly.
  2. If you find the password reset email, mark it as "Not Spam" to prevent future emails from being filtered.
  3. Ask you IT team to check if they are blocking this email

Reason 2: You Originally Logged in with Google OAuth If you signed up for the platform using Google OAuth (Open Authorization), you might not receive a password reset email directly. This is because OAuth allows you to use your Google credentials to log in, bypassing the need for a platform-specific password.

Next Steps:

  1. Try logging in with Google login.

Reason 3: You Joined a Team Without Signing up to Nanonets In some cases, users may join a team on the platform without signing up.

Next Steps:

  1. If you accessed the platform via a shared link, sign up for a Nanonet’s account using the same email address.
