Data type formatting

Helps get numeric and dates in the correct format

How to configure

Head over to the Manage Labels Section in your model and confgure this from the Data formatting column

Where it helps

In cases where you require dates and numbers in specific formats

For eg:

  1. Remove the commas from 1,000,234,567.92 and convert it to a float i.e 1000234567.92
  2. Cases where . and , are interchanged, helps convert this 1.000.234,56 to a float i.e 1000234.56
  3. Convert 24 Jul 2025 to ISO format, i.e to 2025-07-25
  4. Convert this 03-04-25 which is in MM-DD-YY (primarily a US date format) to ISO (The model understands the format based on other info on the document such as geography) - 2025-03-04

Info

  • Currently 3 data formats are present - dates, number and text
  • Dates are by default in the ISO format - YYYY-MM-DD
  • The data type formatting will work best with the Mini and Pro tiers
  • In case you need to reset the feature, you can choose the blank option from the dropdown
