Add a new table

If a table was not already captured from your document or you had to delete a table and redraw it from scratch, follow the steps below to add a new table:

  1. Draw a box over the table area on your image.

  2. On the label popup > Click on the toggle at the top to Switch to Table mode

  3. You can leave the number of rows and columns as 1 x 1, and click on Add Table.

  4. This adds a table with 1 column and 1 row. Follow the steps below to add more columns and rows.

Add rows or columns to the grid

  1. Ensure that the grid is active (you should see thick blue bars to the top and left of the table). See how

  2. Hover over the thick blue line at the top of the grid where you want to add a column separator.

  3. You will see a blue circle with a plus icon. Click to add a column.

  4. Do the same on the left of the grid to add rows.

  5. Once you have added the column and row lines where you need them, click on Extract data as table.

Remove rows or columns from grid

  1. Ensure that the grid is active (you should see thick blue bars to the top and left of the table). See how

  2. Hover over the point where the column separator meets the edge of the grid on the top.

  3. You will see a red circle with a minus icon. Click to remove that column.

  4. Do the same on the left of the grid to remove rows.

  5. Once you have removed the column or row lines, click on Extract data as table.

Resize table grid

You can use the resize table feature to exclude rows and columns from your table. For example, remove header names captured in the first row.

  1. Make sure that the grid is active. See how

  2. Click and drag the square notches on the top right or bottom right corners to resize the grid.

  3. Click on Extract data as table to see revised results on the right.

Resize cells

You can use the resize cells feature if you want to capture only a small part of a long piece data extracted from a column.

  1. Activate the grid > click on Draw new cells. This will lock the grid and allow you to make changes to the cells.

  2. Click and drag a cell to resize it. The data from the cell will be re-captured.

  3. Click on Done.

Please note, clicking on Extract data as table on the grid will override any cell changes made to the table.

Troubleshoot common table issues

Header names included in the first row

Identifier data that should be present as column names is erroneously captured as Row 1. For eg: "KG", "PRECIO" below should not be captured). How to fix this

Columns getting merged

Data from Column A and Column B are appearing as a single cell under one Column. For eg: Item code and description are present in the same cell under Description. How to fix this

Extra data captured in a cell

You want to capture only a small part of a long piece data extracted from a column. For eg: From "DKD BUBBLE WRAP - AIR CUSHION PACKAGING MATERIAL , 60 GSM THICKNESS" you only want to capture "DKD BUBBLE WRAP". How to fix this
